Friendship and Love are two different relationships interconnected with each other. In a friendship both friends should have love (affection) for one another while in love, the two must share mutual understanding of a friendship. Usually people avoid to mixing up friendship and love through a thin line known as friendship limits, they say love and friendship have basic difference in terms of characteristics of a relationship like
- In friendship you care for your friends, in love you loves him/ her too much.
- In friendship you are an open book to your friend, in love you may have some secrets, perhaps related to your history.
- In friendship you don’t shy to tell everything to your friend because of their confidence in you, in love you want to categories things in two classes, personal and to be shared with lover.
- Friendship is a truly platonic relationship except in case of friends with benefit, love includes sex necessarily. There are only handful examples of platonic love in history.
- In friendship you can share your friends with lovers, love does not allow you to share your lover with friends.
- In friendship you are there when you are required by your friend, in love you always reside in his/ her mind regardless you are there or not in front of him/ her.
- In friendship you try to comforting your friend, if he/ she cries, in love you start to cry with them if he/ she cries.
- In friendship both of you are two souls in two different bodies, in love you becomes one soul in two different bodies.
- Friendship allows you to have more friends at same time, in love you are not expected to have two or more lovers at the moment.
- In friendship you may open your eyes, ears and mind despite having full confidence in your friend, in love it is must to restrict all thoughts against your lover despite they are there with solid clues.
